Keep yourself in a good space by using outside space.

The natural world is wonderful. Not just to look at. It can be great for your mental health and wellbeing too. What’s more, you don’t have to live in the sticks or spend lots of money to feel the benefits. Simply escaping to an inner-city green space could make your day.

A few tips to help you out with getting out:

  • Take the dog for a walk. Not got a four-legged friend? Maybe borrow one from a friend.
  • Visit a stately home. There are usually outdoor activities and plenty of beautiful grounds to explore.
  • Swap your holiday hotel for a tee-pee or a tent. You don’t have to be a seasoned camper to enjoy a camping holiday. You can do it with some added luxuries, with the added advantage of being outside more.
  • Ever tried geocaching? It’s a great way to make your walk more fun by turning it into a treasure hunt. Just don’t expect to find gold and jewels.
  • Pokémon Go! For those not in the know about Pokémon Go, it’s a smartphone app that you use to track and catch characters located in the real world (although they are actually still in a virtual one).
